Good Evening Smithies I started in the house in 1979 and lived there 3.5 of the 4.5 yrs I was in school. My last semester was spent on Osage with the Northern Smithies (Nyhart, Jones, Male, Sidebottom, Briggs and Roach). Southern Smithies on Leavenworth were Smith Brothers, Gabrielson, Rodell, Ptacek, Selby, Peterson, Woodworth, ..... ok someone can fill in gaps in my memory). I moved to Wichita and began my career as a Structural Engineer. Helped redo the house the summer of '84 and (re) met my wife on the fire escape moving the radiators back in the house. About a year driving Manhattan to Wichita, and we got married. Moved back to my home town, KC, in 1986 and still here, doing the same thing for like the 7th company. Spent most of my career, so far, doing some sort of sports project, Arenas and Stadiums. I have 3 boys, oldest is a sophomore in Engineering at KSU. We make most of the football games and I will be up for the Reunion.

I was a member of the Smith Scholarship House the school year of 74-75. I lived, studied, and had fun with a great bunch of KSU guys that year. In addition to learning to follow cooking recipes for more than 30, I gained great study habits and organizational skills. I have since earned degrees from 5 universities including two doctoral degrees. My wife and I have a farm in the Eudora, Kansas area. Good luck to you all.
