Welcome John! I was only a freshman your senior year, but I remember you. That was a great senior class.
I lived in Palatine for 3 years about 10 years ago, so I might know some of your stomping grounds. I worked for Motorola.
And I too have an 8 year old (and a 4 and a 2 year old).

I lived at "The Lakes of Schaumburg" for a couple of years. Spent more than a few nights at the "alumni Club next door to Motorola. Good times. ;D

Whoa HO, the Alumni Club!!!! I lived at the TreeHouse apartments across the street there my first year. Man, we used to celebrate promotions and birthday parties there (and weddings, bar mitzahs, secretary's day, bosses day, Arbor Day....) The tradition at Moto was that whoever got a promotion had to buy drinks for everyone attending. Sooo...when my manager's manager got a promotion there was a quite a huge crowd in attendance and his bar tab went through the roof.
Did you ever eat at the Rock House? I can't recall the street it was on but near Moto. They had great ostrich burgers.
