I just felt like swapping trail or road riding stories. I know 'Norm' is a biker and Jerry is a roadie. I know there was a handful of guys I rode with from the house when I lived there. Heck, while I lived there, I went from new mountain bike owner/novice to gung-ho dirthead. I bent two forks on my Specialized Rock-Hopper, broke one seat post, bent the dérailleur hanger, upgraded numerous components and broke my jaw once.
Since leaving the house I've biked (on or off road) in Oklahoma, Colorado, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Texas and France. But, still some of my favorite ride memories are in and around Manhattan.
I know I rode with Bryan Klostermeyer, Scott ?? (short and blonde), Jeff Walters (good story there), Brian Frank and 'Chief' Jeff Hudlin. I said somewhere else that Bob Lee introduced me to trails but I think now that it was Brian and Chief. They took be on my first trail ride behind the cemetery and the zoo. That was all it took to get me hooked.
How many other guys ride the trails? Are the trails behind the zoo still open? How about that Linear Trail? Does it connect the whole southern side of town now? Does anyone ride at Tuttle any more?
