This wasn't really a tradition so I'm breaking it out from that thread. I know a few members here participated so I wanted to take this jog down memory lane with you all.
Remember when we discovered that the cemetery gathers their leaves into these GIGANTIC piles for collecting. One such pile was placed strategically beneath a sort of bridge and we would leap and fall from the bridge down into the pile. Man that was fun. I've got some bad pictures of it I'll try to find and scan some day.
I wonder if anyone else has done that in other years. I know I took a couple different groups back again and again until the leaves disappeared. I remember Parviz, and John, Mark , Matt F., John R., probably Robert and Jeff W. and some girls once too.
At one point a police car drove through checking things out and some of hid in the pile of leaves and some dashed off and hid among the grave stones. I never thought you could have so much fun in a cemetery. ;D Manhattan probably has the coolest cemetery I've ever been to, what with the spirit tower and mountain bike trails right behind it. Good times.

I recall the cemetery incident only dimly, except that it was awesome. The pile was so huge that it was possible to do front flips, backflips, etc. Also, I think some of us were actually busted by the cops that time. Not me, however.

I know there were a bunch of trips because the pile was there for a couple of days and by some magic kept getting bigger and bigger. I have a vague memory that I'm not sure is true or not, but did somebody get hurt one one excursion? Maybe dove head first or something? I remember scattering when some cops came but I don't recall anyone getting caught.

Love the pics you keep digging up, Jeremy.
Is that me and Matt Ford jumping into the leaves? Who's the third person?

Yep, that's you two and Parviz. You can just see the edge of the stone railing from which you leaped in the corner of the pic.
