Ok, I've created a private board for viewing by registered members only. People concerned about public visability can put stuff there. I also locked down the Smith pictures board.
Which brings us to a general question. Do people feel that this whole forum should be tightened down to registered viewers only?
I can do that if there's a consensus. You never know who is watching.

I think more Smithies will accidentally find this place if search engines can find most of the text, and more people might register if they can sample the site without registering initially. I'd say that a rule should be that it should all be public, but you move a thread to the private section if somebody makes a reasonable request that it should be there. Mark

I agree with Mark -- make everything public unless there's some plausible reason for making it private.
