Snooping around the Alumni information and I found the Smith site. Thanks Jeremy for setting it up. As some may vaguely remember, I moved out my senior year with George Stowell and David Blood. Taking many graduate math courses, I could use the extra study time. My final semester I took a co-op with the Dept of Energy at Oak Ridge Tennessee, studying theoretical robotics. I ended up publishing a paper that the DOD classified, and more importantly, met Tricia. We married in December 1995, and now have three children. (5, 2, and 7 mo.) After graduating in 95, I went to graduate school at the University of Illinois. I decided to 'get a job', rather than spend seven years on a PhD, and decided to enter the Insurance industry to specialize in catastrophic management. Back in 96, that was a 'new' field that nobody really entered in. I have lived in Philadelphia, Omaha, and now Schaumburg (Chicago). I am considered a veteran in cat management (with the field being about 12 years old), and am an AVP with Zurich Ins. Co., leading a self created department of seven individuals. (Should grow a few college grads next year to 9-11). Enjoy the job, enjoy being a father of three, and have good memories of Smith House.

John. It sounds like things are going well for you. Congrats. Do you stay in touch with any of the old Smithies?
I was just through Chicago about three weeks ago. I had never been in Ohare before. That place is crazy.
Glad to see that you put up your bio.

Chris Kellogg went back to school for a law degree and spent a year working as an assistant to a Supreme Court judge. (really!)
He is now a lawyer working with his father in Salina, KS. Still married to Becky of Smurthwaite. with three children.

I've lost track of John Regher, but he was a professor of Computer Science at the University of Utah with a 15 month old son in December of 2004. (Son would now be 39 months old)

Hey John, welcome to you too! And Schaumburg! I lived in Schaumburg once. I worked for Motorola right after college and lived across the street. Then I moved to Palatine. I was in the area for 3 years total. I remember driving by the Zurich (or 'a' Zurich) building many times.
My wife lived most of her life in Chicago or on the Indiana side. If we ever get back that way, we'll look you up.
Hey, I just remembered that I visited you while I was up in Palatine. Remember that time I came down for a bike race in the Urbana area and you put me up for the night in your apartment?
