Hi all!
I enjoyed my time in Smith House from 1985 to 1989 and lived in the area until 2000 so I got to stay in touch with some for an extended period of time after I graduated.
Random thoughts: 1. I had the distinction of having the most black marks my freshman year. Had to do with non-conformity issues I think. 2. I lived in almost every room in the house. Many different roomies. 3. Took awhile to learn to cook for just 2 to 4 people instead of 30! 4. Co-host of 206 "Balls to the Wall" parties. 5. Never participated in MESSHACS (sp?) and never got taped to a tree (showered a few times though) 6. Met my wife during a Smurthwaite raid on our house. The first time I remember seeing her, she was duct-taped hand and foot and I was holding a goldfish over her mouth. 7. Spent quite a bit of time in the attic.
Since graduation, I got married to a Smurthy (Tiffany Tritsch), taught chemistry and physics at Wamego High School for 8 years and coached cross country for 7 years, acquired a couple of children (Holly in 1994 and Ben in 1997). I went back to school in 1997 at KSU and got a chem. engg. degree and have worked for Dow Chemical since 2000. We live south of Houston, TX about 50 miles in Lake Jackson.
Looking forward to hearing about others and swapping memories/stories.
See ya!
